In 2012 Composite Doors Yorkshire became the first company in the UK to manufacture and install a solid wood core composite door with a shaped top. Now word of our capabilities has spread throughout the UK and orders are flooding in for bespoke doors made to individual requirements.
“Our ability to manufacture a solid wood cored slab to a unique shape was only achieved after extensive research and development at our factory,” said managing director Richard Pogson. “Because we manufacture and install to order we can provide this bespoke composite door service, which is now more in demand than ever.”
A key factor in the production of the shaped door is that edge-banding takes place after the door is shaped so as not to compromise its integrity. This protects it from the elements and eliminates the possibility of the wood core swelling.

The company has received orders for bespoke composite doors both locally in Huddersfield, and now further afield including Wigan, Birmingham and Mansfield.
