At Lockwood Windows we proudly manufacture high-quality windows and doors in a variety of foil-wrapped colours designed to withstand all weathers.
All of our windows come fitted with energy efficient Pilkington KS glass which, since 2002, is now an essential requirement for all window and door manufacturers to use in order to achieve energy ratings set out by the British Fenestration Rating Council. This rating system rates windows from A-G in terms of their energy efficiency, with A being the highest. Our frames are designed to achieve the highest rating. However, some manufacturers choose a basic uPVC system to achieve a ‘C’ rating. Whilst it does the job, it doesn’t have the same level of security. The low emissivity glass that we now use helps achieve those high energy ratings by reflecting heat back into the room whilst also allowing free heat from the sun to enter your home. This enables us to offer some of the most energy efficient and secure windows and doors on the market. As the old saying goes, you get what you pay for!
Whilst it’s not a legal requirement for homeowners to have their windows and doors installed by a company that is registered with FENSA, we strongly recommend it for the certainty of a job done properly. Lockwood Windows are FENSA registered, to ensure your peace of mind that your new windows and doors are not only manufactured to the highest standard, but are fitted correctly. Plus, all our products are available with an insurance backed guarantee too.
It can be a daunting process when you first decide to replace your doors. There’s so many questions such as, PVCu or composite? Which manufacturer? What colour/style? Whatever questions you may have, our team of experts are here to give you all the advice you need, and can show you the full range of products, designs and finishes in our extensive showroom.
We offer an extensive selection of composite doors available in a variety of colours to suit every property. Our composite doors are some of the most aesthetically pleasing and secure doors available. Featuring a thermally efficient 48mm thick solid hardwood timber core with an outer frame that’s reinforced by galvanised steel, our doors are designed to keep the heat in, whilst keeping intruders out! Furthermore, all of our doors are fitted with a pick-resistant multi-point Astral S locking cylinder, ensuring maximum security.
With cheaper alternatives such as foam-filled PVCu doors, you’re not offered the same levels of security and protection against physical damage or break-ins which can be a deciding factor alone for many homeowners. Composite doors may sit at a higher price point than their PVCu counterparts, but as they require minimal maintenance, are fade resistant due to their thermo-plastic skins and are thermally efficient, they are a worthwhile investment. Plus, there are a wealth of options available to customise your door to give your home that boost in kerbside appeal! However, we understand that one size doesn’t fit all. So, if your requirements are more unique we offer a bespoke service that enables us to manufacture and fit a brand new door to fit any entryway, regardless of its shape or size.
So, if you’re looking at replacing your existing doors and making that worthwhile investment with composite doors, you can view our full range here.
